similar organization in Seattle, called Program for Early Parent Support (PEPS), on the formation of our programming. PEPS was founded in 1983, and many of their groups have gone on to have "Welcome to Kindergarten" parties, high school graduation parties and even 25-year reunions of both the parents AND the children! They have been perfecting their programming for more than 30 years, and have results to prove its effectiveness: 90% of their participants report satisfaction with their experience, most of them citing that they feel better equipped to make parenting decisions, feel more confident as new parents, and feel as though they have a team of parents nearby on whom they can consistently rely. PIP is thrilled to bring this type of community-led peer support to Austin. We offer groups in Spanish and English, and have virtual and in-person options as well.
