Public education is worth fighting for.
On June 18, join us at the Austin ISD Board Meeting as we hold a funeral for the positions, programs, and opportunities threatened by proposed budget cuts. We’ll mourn what’s at risk, but we’ll also stand together for the schools our students deserve.
The most important thing you can do right now is SHOW UP and SPEAK UP.
There are TWO opportunities for public comment on June 18:
• 5:00 PM – Budget Public Hearing
• 6:00 PM – Regular Board Meeting
Both meetings include public comment, which means multiple chances for trustees to hear directly from educators, families, students, and community members.
Every person who signs up to speak sends a message that our schools matter. Every story shared puts a human face on these decisions. Every voice in the room reminds decision-makers that this community is paying attention.
The future of public education will be shaped by the people who show up for it.
See you June 18.
