Reminder! Next week! Special presentation on Thursday, October 30th beginning at 3:30 pm at the Capitol Visitors Center.
The GLO Senior Deputy Director for Heritage, Mark Lambert will talk about their incredible new book: "Texas Takes Shape: A History in Maps from the General Land Office". His presentation, โFrom Austinโs Beginnings to an O. Henry Ending, Maps and the Old Land Office Buildingโ will focus on the maps that were drawn or archived in the Capitol Visitors Center when it was the General Land Office Building between 1858 and 1916.
