It is estimated that 41 million people worldwide, mostly women and children, have active trachoma infection and need treatment. reme pain… and then blindness. The disease is considered the most neglected disease in relation to its contribution to suffering in the world. The treatment paid for by the sale of these sunglasses will allow people to start providing for their families again and allow children to return to their schoolwork and create a better future for themselves. On top of that, your purchase also puts us one step closer to treating an additional community of 400 people against the early stages of trachoma for a year — which we do each time we reach 100 pairs sold.
