HOOOWEEE it is HOT, have you noticed?
Buuuut from 8:30-10:30am at The Play for All Abilities Park in Round Rock in the shade of some beaUtiful oaks it's actually pretty pretty nice (as far as July in Central Texas goes🫠 ). AND there are actual bathrooms! 🏆

I'll be at The Play for All Abilities Park TOMORROW, Wednesday 7/8 from 8:30-10:30 for my personal second-to-last summer event.

Remember that a Pop-Up library is just RRISD librarians giving out free books for kids up to high school- no RRISD enrollment, sign-up, or check-out required! 🎉

I hope to see you there stocking up on books for when it's too hot to move very much the rest of the summer!

P.S. Put that RR Movie Night on Friday 7/17 pm on your radar! I'll be there and the events there are actually SO nice (and free!) 😘

Reminder that I'll be working a Pop-Up Library event tomorrow Tuesday 6/16 from 8:30-10:30am at Springwoods Park!

This just means we'll be giving away FREE BOOKS for kids k-12th grade - no RRISD enrollment or checkouts required!

Tomorrow's event coincides with a KCE incoming prek/kindergarten playdate so not only will there be lots of friends to play - I will also be doing a little mini-storytime at 9:00 for added funsies : )

We'll be there rain or shine unless it gets wild and crazy weather-wise and it's looking pretty good for now so pack that bug spray and I'll see you there! 📚

If you have a rising 3rd-5th grader it's about to FINALLY be time for them to be a part of the statewide Texas Bluebonnet Book Award Program! 📚📖💙

It's kind of a big deal here and honestly a little bit of a rite of passage! : ) No summaries need to be written, no quizzes need to be taken, we just want our students to read widely and well. 🥰

We've already pre-launched next year's list with all students and here's everything you need to know to get started in the summertime IF you want to - there is PLENTY of time during the school year, don't worry!

Did you know that RRISD Enrichment has half and full-day summer camps?! And yours truly is teaching two of the coming up in June!

Both my Weird and Wacky Animals (rising 3rd-6th graders) and my Bluebonnet Book Adventure (rising 4th-6th graders) camps will be held June 1 - June 4 at Elsa England Elementary and I would LOVE to see your kiddos there : )

We did it! What a fabulous Book Fair Week it has been 💕

Today's kinder axolotl artist was absent so we recruited his cousin to join us in our freshwater puddle for a picture 😂

I can not thank this community enough for all of the support with every aspect of the fair. We saw sooo many happy faces every single day! Now this geriatric amphibian needs a nap! 😴

Wow, it's perfect weather for a pair of pufferfish!

Hopefully we'll see you during a break in the rain tonight when we're open all the way until 6:30! Come up for the art showcase, stay for the Book Fair : )

Tomorrow is our last day of spring Book Fair and we'll be open Friday until 3:30.
