Hey Yoga Friends, anyone reading this book? It’s so interesting to read a biography by one of your teachers, and walk your path again from a different vantage point.
He was my second yoga teacher, that I would eventually spend any hours and days studying. Now, some 30 years later, my daughter takes practice with him several times a week online and we are book clubbing his book.
Such a good read. So much compassion, love and gratitude for Bryan. 🙏🏼

So well said!
“I’m not teaching aesthetics, I’m teaching healing and feeling”-Jill Miller
-
I took my first class with Jill 10 years ago. I remember when we went around the room and introduced ourselves she said “You’re brave to pick this as your first class”.
-
Really I was clueless…
-
I was a Crossfitter in a room full of Yoga instructors. Most of whom had taken her intense Level 1 training already and knew what to expect.
-
The class was a “Core Immersion” where we spent a week moving, breathing, twisting, and rolling with a big squishy ball in our “core” to learn not only the physical but also our mental and emotional holding. (I thought I was going to be learning ways to work my core🤦♀️).
-
For me it was the FIRST TIME EVER, that I slowed down and felt my breathing, and paid attention to the interaction between my nervous system and my mind and body.
-
I went on to take numerous other classes with Jill (including the intense Level 1🤯) and she has forever changed the way I coach and teach.
-
Jill taught me embodiment. I came from the world of competition. In my teens, I trained and stressed myself so much that I’d give myself ulcers. I learned to train through them and even competed (and won) while anemic. I had trained myself not to feel the discomfort.
-
Taking Jill’s class was the first time I was TAUGHT how to listen to my body. I was safely guided to explore and learn.
-
The reality in today’s world is we are constantly bombarded and in order to “survive” we disconnect, we numb, we push through and we fight.
-
I am so excited to have this new reference guide and continue to share her knowledge.
-
In the beginning I needed guidance to sit and listen. I needed others to help lead me as I navigated and learned to listen to my own body.
-
And I am forever grateful to now offer classes and workshops to help guide others as they learn to sit and listen.
-
Thank you for putting your love and energy into another beautiful book!
