Important reminder that when the brain is compromised no outside circumstances or stimuli is going to snap someone out of it. There is no “ just get over it”. It’s an illness and requires treatment just like diabetes does. And because it’s so stigmatized people are less likely to seek treatment or recognize the need for treatment.
