06/17/2026

What a night for North Austin Optimist Tuesday night!

Our 8U Bulldogs showed incredible heart and determination, battling through a double-header and coming out on top in both games to punch their ticket to the PONY Section Championship Game tonight! What an amazing accomplishment for this young group of players!

And congratulations to our 12U Sluggers, who took care of business and brought home the PONY Section Championship, defeating Pflugerville and earning the title!
CORRECTION - 12U took championship of the Bracket 2 pool. TONIGHT they are in the final Championship game at BYBSO at 8PM, battling it out with the Bracket 1 Champion.

We couldn't be prouder of all the players, coaches, and parents who have dedicated countless hours throughout the spring season. The practices, the commitment, the teamwork, and the sacrifices have all led to moments like these.

A special thank you goes out to the coaches across all NAO baseball and softball divisions. Your leadership, mentorship, patience, and commitment to teaching the game—and life lessons beyond the field—make a lasting impact on these young athletes. Your hard work and dedication to our players and families truly represent what North Austin Optimist is all about.

Thank you head coaches of our Spring Season: Kyle Stoutenger (6U), Kevin Williams (8U), Nelson Taylor and Avery Huet (10U), Bill Parker (12U), Eric Renteria (SB 8U).

No matter the scoreboard, these kids have represented NAO with pride, sportsmanship, and heart.

One Club. One Goal. All In!

NAO Memory Lane — Summer 2002: The NAO C**t Texans joined the Centex League for an unforgettable run at the pennant. Back‑to‑back tournaments in Harlingen, Texas set the tone, with the team capturing 1st Place at Regionals and advancing all the way to Zone. They ultimately finished just two games short of getting to the World Series. Leading the charge was Head Coach Ruben Garcia, whose guidance shaped one of the program’s most memorable seasons. Those were the days of sunburned afternoons, late‑night team dinners, and a dugout full of kids who believed anything was possible.
