Today The Singer and the Song welcomes Terri Hendrix and Lloyd Maines to the KOOP studios. Terri has carved her own way in music, building a beautiful career around her lovely songs, and she has given back to other musicians by writing a book on how to make music your business independently as she's done. And the musical community she's built through her Own Your Own Universe non-profit is a thing of beauty. Lloyd Maines is, of course, Lloyd Maines: multi-instrumentalist, session man extraordinaire, album producer, an iconic Texas artist of many decades. His ongoing work with Terri says a lot right there about how great an artist she is. Together, they're a force of nature, and it's my honor to welcome these Texas music legends back to KOOP as they perform live for the whole hour on KOOP 91.7 FM and koop.org, 3-4pm, Saturday, July 11th.
