I always write about .sd when I'm in San Diego! We are obsessed. Last time we had the pleasure of trying their dynamite special with scallops. It was one of the best dishes we have had but sadly it got discontinued. However, we tried a new roll this time called the Cilantro Roll and it was life changing 🍱🍣🤤🤤

I've never had cilantro on sushi but holy smokes yall it was a game changer. I really don't see it in the online menu so perhaps it's newer? It had shrimp tempura, crab, and tuna, and I'm talking a TON of crab. We added cream cheese cuz we are naughty 🤠

As we sat at the sushi bar we had Aijan (spelling?) as our sushi chef. He was great and actually treated us to a taste of the sashimi salad that we were eyeing but didn't order. Def gonna get that next time. It's PILED HIGH with fresh fish and sesame. Seriously the freshest ever.

FINALLY got to try the sexy pink food truck I keep seeing all over Austin! 😛

This place has Amazeballs reviews and I totally get why! They do not cook with any seed oils, canola oils, vegetable oils, and are also soy free. Their philosophy is around sustainable suppliers and farm relationships.

We got the build your own bowl as we didn't want rice. However, the rice looked delicious!

Inside we had chipotle chicken, chipotle ziki sauce, crispy chickpeas, fajita veggies, grilled corn, cucumber salsa all on a big bed of arugula! 🤤🤤🤤

Not pictured was the quezadilla which was insanely delicious and massive to feed three people - it's stuffed with cheese and veggies and some amazing beef gyro. Highly recommend. The Greek fries were also a big hit, you can tell they use wholesome ingredients. Swoooon! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

We finished the eve with - omg their seasonal pumpkin and regular caramel were a great pairing. Nothing like a frozen treat when injured (swipe to last slide lol). I look like I'm half dead after surgery but this was a meal to remember. Check them out! 👀👀👀

How TF did I live in the domain for a year and never went here??? The dissapointment is so real as this is some of the most flavorful, robust ramen I've had 🤤

My homie had the dumpling ramen which I was jealous of, and def wanna try next time. I got the Tonkotsu black ramen - I always get black ramen if it's available and order extra black oil and chili oil.

Jinya Ramen was something else. I loved the ambiance and the waiters were dope! Def coming back here for a cozy meal when it's not a billion degrees 🔥🧯

🤤AUSTIN Restaurant Week🤩

So sad I just got back from traveling at the tail end of restaurant week. Sigh.

was everything everyone says it is. Sexy interior, beautiful cocktails, open ambiance, and amazing staff and food.

WE HAD THE BEST TIME sitting at the bar with Michael. He is a gem and even tho he said he was new in a sucker for great customer service. 🎉

My GF said we should check out their prix fixe menu for restaurant week. $60 gets you an app, a salad, an entree, and a dessert. Bone me 🤩💃

But before we ordered, we noticed the people actually sitting at the bar had these yummy looking snacks so we asked and you should ask too - garlic blanched almonds and the best chili oil olives you can imagine.

We started with the house focaccia which apparently takes 5 HOURS to bake. It's like the fluffiest thing ever and served with whipped ricotta and honey. We ate too much of it. More to come on

We had:
•Hamachi with salsa verde
•Summer greens salad with DATES and shallots
•Grilled prime short rib - this thing was massive and perfectly charred. Served over garlic mash and some other yummy sauce. Seriously the best short rib ever. Ate about 1/3 because of the bread lol.
•Finished with the peanut butter chocolate cake which had like toasted marshmallows on top! Did not touch it until this morning because of the bread 🥯🍞🥖🥐🫓🥪

Seriously go east on the bread we were rolling out of there. Needless to say I ate cake and short rib for breckie this morning 🥩🍰

The rain ain't always on the menu so get it while you can. All this was accompanied by an amazing bottle of wine I had never had called Rizzi. 🍷

God I'm so fat this morning but it was worth it fam. Get you summm 😍

Y'all anytime you're in San Diego don't sleep on the food at located right on the beach.

I lived here for 10 years and the food never stood out to me. They must have completely rebranded because these wings were wildly good. They had like a crispy charred glaze to them.

The wait recommended the habanero cream sauce and omg I could drink it. I basically did drink it 🤩💦

Honestly terrible picture. But I want to remember this sauce lol 🤤
