So .kelly reached out to me in early October and asked if I could photograph him for his 21st. He told me he was visiting Austin for the first time and also solo traveling as well. When we discussed what he wanted, he brought up an older photoshoot I did a few years back and funny enough it was also brought up in a meeting I had as well. I find it interesting as a creative how I never really reflect on my work and to be honest I should more. I think that older work is just in the past and I always try to stay focused on the present. But the fact that the inspo he brought up was something of a discussion I had earlier made me realize, why not? Why not inspire myself again with my past creative works.

We met up, shot in his neighborhood he was staying in and it really brought back the nostalgia for me. To bringing back an older style of mine, to even walking in a neighborhood with nothing but an rgb led panel, the nostalgia whiplashed me. It brought me back to when I would just test shoot like crazy outside with my friends when I was a teenager. And I even saw myself a bit during the photoshoot when I first moved out to Austin by myself with nothing but dreams and a camera lol. So thank you Javian for that :)
