In 1776, the Founding Fathers sought to establish a nation built on the foundations of a fair and just democracy. The actualization of a “fair and just” country remains elusive to this day.
Since then, voter suppression has manifested as strict(er) voter ID laws, cuts to early voting, restricted voter registration, and beyond.

On the 250th anniversary of the United States, voter suppression remains an enduring and pervasive characteristic of American democracy.
Between redistricting, gerrymandering, and other suppressive tactics, today, American democracy is at its most fragile state in decades.
This does not mean that we should give up the fight.

New USPS Postmark Rule Threatens Vote-by-Mail Voters, full story linked below.
Update (June 29, 2026): Today, the Supreme Court rejected an RNC challenge to a Mississippi law that counted all ballots postmarked before Election Day. While the existing postmark change still complicates this process, and the content of this article is still accurate, the Supreme Court decision is a win for anyone who relies on a mail-in ballot.
