Learning Bridge
We are here to help foster youth excel in school. Learning Bridge understands the value and impact that education makes for foster youth. We serve kids in foster care K-12 in Travis, Hays, Bell, Bastrop, and Williamson Counties with free tutoring. If you have a child in foster care who needs help, or you are interested in becoming a tutor, email [email protected]. Together we support our youth and local communities for brighter futures!

✨Meet Emi - our June Volunteer of the Month! ✨
Emi stepped into Learning Bridge because she believes confidence can change a student’s future.
As a psychology major at UT Austin, and someone who’s spent time supporting at‑risk youth at Austin State Hospital, she’s seen how much it matters when a caring adult shows up.
She brings that same heart to every session with her elementary-school student. Whether she’s helping a student find their footing in a tough subject or celebrating small wins, she shows up to help students believe in their abilities and feel supported as they grow.
And when she’s not volunteering, you’ll find her reading, puzzling, or exploring the path toward a future in forensic psychology.
We’re grateful for Emi’s heart and dedication to uplift Learning Bridge students!

This semester brought big wins, new volunteers, and so many moments of students showing up with courage and curiosity. We’re grateful for every volunteer who made space for learning, connection, and consistency for these special young Central Texans.
It’s summer, but LB students are still eager to improve their game! 💪Several students (16) are waiting for their academic champion right now!
If you’re looking for a way to make an impact this summer, you can! Join us as a tutor or send to a friend (see our link in bio)

We had a blast! Another school year wrapped with joy, pride, and a whole lot of celebration. Our students and tutors showed up week after week, putting in the work. This party was our chance to honor that effort and the milestones accomplished this year.
One of our favorite moments was seeing 2 of our students who’d never met bond instantly over basketball, snocones, and jokes. For youth who’ve faced so much change, connection like that is straight fire (as the kids say).
Thank you to every tutor and supporter who made this year possible. And shoutout to Cynthia for the colorful masterpiece face paintings and for donating snoboxes to keep everyone cool at Pease Park!
