Pillow Park Project
We've been busy at Pillow Park this month bringing your community-led design to life! Our community partners TreeFolks and Texas Conservation Corps a Program of American YouthWorks have been busy planting trees and installing trails! For our next phase of construction, we'll be recruiting community volunteers to help us plant the planned sensory path. We'll be creating a COVID-safe staggered planting schedule and sending emails/texts out to neighbors who have already participated in our surveys. If you'd like to participate in the plantings but haven't participated in our surveys before, please reach out to us at [email protected]!
- This project is supported by Westcave Outdoor Discovery Center, Children in Nature Collaborative of Austin and St. David's Foundation-

It's been a minute since we've updated y'all about progress at Pillow Park, but we have some big news! We've been busy coordinating with community partners and compiling your park design survey votes, and we're finally ready to share the park plans with our community!
🦋
This design couldn't have come to life without all of your valuable input and we are so grateful to all of our community members who participated in the survey and gave us feedback!
🌳
We listened and did our best to incorporate the park elements that seemed to matter most to our neighbors. What is that going to look like? Well, we'll be adding a lot more shade trees, a lot more native, pollinator-friendly plants, several outdoor learning spaces, and meandering ADA friendly trails that create connectivity throughout the park!
🐞
Watch this video for more details and for information about volunteering, or go to the link in our bio! We'll be needing help with wildflower seeding, perennial plantings, and long-term watering, so there will be lots of opportunities for everyone to get involved in making Pillow Park even more awesome!
