What if you were told you’d never walk - and decided to run instead?
This October, three extraordinary teens are proving what’s possible.
Lila, Joseph, and Martin - all living with cerebral palsy - are training under Hope Young, inventor of SoundSteps™ Mobile, to compete in the Run Against Breast Cancer 5K/10K/21K in Cedar Park, TX.
These kids are part of TEAM I AM I CAN, a group born from Hope’s belief that music and movement can rewire the brain. Using SoundSteps™ Mobile, BMS’s groundbreaking neurotechnology, they’ve gone from struggling with balance and gait… to walking with control, strength, and confidence — and now, to running! 🏃♂️🏃♀️💥
“When you move better, you can go farther, do more things, and have a better quality of life.” – Lila, TEAM Captain
Every step these kids take is rewriting what doctors once said was impossible - showing the world that with the right tools, community, and belief, the healing continues.
Join us in cheering on TEAM I AM I CAN as they take on the Run Against Breast Cancer on October 18, 2024 — running for hope, for healing, and for every child who dares to dream beyond limitation.

From Wheelchairs to Finish Lines 🏃♂️🏃♀️
Lila has never let Cerebral Palsy define her. She’s always pushed past the limits, proving that when you move better, you live better.
Now, she’s leading the charge for kids just like her. With SoundSteps Mobile, Lila has become the team captain for a new generation — kids who once struggled to walk are now preparing to run their very first race.
And on October 18, 2025, these kids will cross the starting line together at the Run Against Breast Cancer in Austin/Round Rock — no adaptive equipment, no limits. Just grit, heart, and the power of SoundSteps™ Mobile - driven movement.
Lila isn’t just racing — she’s building a movement.
Children with CP are walking taller, moving stronger, and proving what’s possible.💪
Follow their journey. Cheer them on. And believe with them.
When you move better, you go farther. ❤️
“After the gunshot, I was a different person …" - Andy Thomas
Traumatic brain injury doesn’t just change how you move — it changes who you are.
In this moment, Andy reflects on the deep, ongoing process of healing after surviving a gunshot wound to the head. His story is one of courage, grit, and the long road of neurorecovery — not just for the body, but for the soul.
This is why we do what we do. Because recovery is a journey, not a finish line. And nobody should walk it alone.
