Pico de Orizaba is a monster of a mountain. It tests you mentally, physically, and emotionally. And at 18,500 feet, even the smallest setback can end your climb.

This year, our team pushed all the way to 17,250 feet before we had to turn back. One of our climbers was hit with severe altitude sickness, and the only choice was to head down safely together.

After months of training and planning, not reaching the summit hits hard. But the truth is… this climb has never been about the summit. It’s always been about the kids.

Thanks to your support our 11th Annual Climb for the Kids raised roughly $25,000 to help pay medical bills for families with a child battling cancer. You are the real heroes of this climb, and the families we help will feel your impact long after the mountain.

Over the last 11 years we’ve climbed some incredible mountains to raise money in the fight against childhood cancer. We cover all expedition costs so every dollar donated goes straight to the mission.
