According to the Austin Business Journal, San Antonio-based developer, Kairoi Residential, has received the "OK" to move forward with a 115-acre mixed-use development along the Colorado River in East Austin.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

This allows the build of more than 2,200 multifamily units, a 385-room hotel, nearly 1.5 million sqft of office space, more than 20,000 sqft of retail and a shopping plaza that would span more than 127,000 sqft located between U.S. 183 and the northern bank of the Colorado River.

Per city documents, the plans also include more than 134,000 sqft of restaurant space and a 27,000 sqft arts theater, a 8,500 sqft music venue, and a more than 37,000 sqft civic center.
