Probiotics are a multi-billion dollar industry. But here is what many brands will not tell you.

Many probiotic strains are destroyed by stomach acid before they ever reach your intestine. And for the ones that do survive? They still need fiber to thrive. Without prebiotic fiber, even the best probiotic has little to feed on.

Ora pro nobis is naturally rich in mucilage and polysaccharides, fermentable fibers that fuel the beneficial bacteria already living in your gut. Early research supports their role as a prebiotic substrate.

Instead of adding more bacteria, try feeding the ones already there. That is what our ora pro nobis is for.

Follow for more gut health science that actually makes sense. 🌿

Stop taking probiotics.
Start feeding them.

It’s always exciting to share new research on a plant we really believe in - ora pro nobis.

It’s naturally rich in non-digestible carbohydrates, like mucilage and polysaccharides, that can act as a fermentable substrate for beneficial gut bacteria.

In lab studies, these compounds supported the growth of lactic acid bacteria and were associated with inhibition of certain harmful strains.

What this means in simpler terms is that these fibers can help support how your gut functions and maintains balance.

It’s not just about adding good bacteria
it’s about feeding them.

This is still early research (in vitro and animal models), so more human studies are needed, but the mechanism is really interesting.

Behind every product, there’s a farmer.

We’re here to make that connection closer, more just, and more real.

This is just the beginning.
