AUSTIN, TX - A pedestrian died on Monday in Austin after at least one vehicle struck them along the interstate near Capital Plaza.

The incident happened early in the morning on the northbound side of I-35 near exit 238B, which is between the Mueller neighborhood and US-290.

Police have not shared many details regarding the accident. They say that one vehicle remained at the scene but that other vehicles may have been involved in the accident.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the pedestrian who was killed in the crash.

Officials closed the northbound lanes of the interstate in the area of the collision while crews worked to investigate and clear the scene. All lanes re-opened by around 11:30 a.m.

CYPRESS, TX - A major crash in west Harris County on Sunday night left one person dead and several others injured.

The crash happened at the intersection of Greenhouse Road and Tuckerton Road around 8:45 p.m., according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

One unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person was airlifted to an area hospital in serious condition.

Several additional victims were also hospitalized with serious injuries.

AUSTIN, TX - A driver was taken into custody following a deadly pedestrian accident near LBJ High School on Saturday night.

officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of Pecan Brook Drive at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Saturday in response to reports of a collision involving an SUV and a pedestrian.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the SUV driver first struck a boat trailer parked on the roadway before colliding with the pedestrian, identified as 30-year-old Janicia Molina.

The driver, 27-year-old Marena Falcon-De la Rosa, has been arrested on charges of intoxication manslaughter, as stated in the news release.
