A knife wielding maniac attempted to murder a woman, killed a defenseless man on the stairs to his apartment and then attacked a neighbor walking his dogs who defended his life with a pistol.
Let's shift our focus from the last man who defended himself successfully to the victim in the staircase who was brutally murdered. A very direct and sad question: why was the man not armed?
