Solano County, CA, may be getting a green and walkable upgrade. The East Solano Homes, Jobs, and Clean Energy Initiative is a plan to introduce a new community to an already bustling county that promises to build over 18,000 homes in walkable neighborhoods with plenty of green spaces and an emphasis on clean energy.
The initiative looks to "[attempt] something that has not been done in a century - to create a new community that has density, mixed-use, public life, and scale."
The Solano County Registrar of Voters is currently reviewing the initiative. If it is approved, it will be on the ballot in November 2024.
