Today we celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s founding and the freedoms, sacrifices, and spirit that have shaped our nation for two and a half centuries.

From all of us at Aurora EMS, we wish you and your family a safe, fun, and memorable Independence Day filled with celebration and time spent with loved ones.

As you enjoy fireworks this evening, please keep these safety tips in mind:
🎆 Leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible.
🎆 Always keep a safe distance from fireworks after they are lit.
🎆 Never allow young children to handle fireworks, and always supervise older children around sparklers.
🎆 Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose nearby in case of fire.
🎆 Never relight fireworks that fail to ignite.
🎆 Stay sober when handling or lighting fireworks.
🎆 Dispose of used fireworks by soaking them in water before throwing them away.

If an emergency occurs, don’t hesitate to call 911.
