We love Vail Mountain School and their commitment to forming 'leaders who set tables!' A joy to be back with 40 upper school students today as they prepare for their second table in May!

We are beyond excited to be a recipient of the Odyssey Impact Grant - which will help us empower 150 cities, town and communities across Colorado to set a table this year!
Odyssey Impact is helping ignite creative, actionable solutions that drive real transformation and connection at the local level. By teaming up with innovative community leaders, they’re funding projects that are not only visionary, but also perfectly tailored to meet the unique needs of each community.
We agree, GOOD will take root at the local level - or in our words: at the local table.
Thank you

Thanks DiningOut for telling the story of the table!
Longer Tables has already brought 3,400 strangers together around a mile-long table. This year, they're setting 150 tables across Colorado to prove that the simple act of sharing a meal might be the most radical thing we can do right now. 🍽️ Link in comments for the full story.

On February 6, on the island of Efate, Vanuatu, in the South Pacific, over 190 ni-Van community members shared dinner alongside visitors from six other countries. And despite language barriers, the table felt like any other table: a closeness tied by smiles, food (lots of mango!), storytelling and simply being in one another’s presence as the sun set. Our hearts are warmed and will never forget our first International table. More photos/video to come!
We just set our first international table on the island of Efate in the nation of Vanuatu.
And we are not surprised to report: the table works just as well in Efate as in Denver as in Vegas as in New York City. Neighborhood street or jungle - the table is human and connects like no place can.
Watch for the video, photos and stories soon!

It's real! And happening again this August 1, 2026!
Imagine sitting down to dinner with thousands of complete strangers in the middle of your city. That's exactly what happens in Denver every year, and it's absolutely magical. 🌟 What started as a simple idea to bring neighbors together has turned into one of the most heartwarming community events in America. This is what connection looks like in 2024.

This year we made some great leaps.
2026 is the year to double-down. More tables. More connections. More peace-making.
Let’s decide now to fully show up for ourselves and others in this next year!
To accept the invitation - as well as to invite others into real, slow, intentional friendships!
Are you super-passionate about connection? Then join us in The Kitchen!! It’s an intentional way to join the extended Longer Tables family - to support our efforts - and we will support yours.

Here’s what is giving us hope:
When you invite people, they show up.
This year, 7,511 people chose to take a seat at the table—neighbors, students, gardeners, corporate executives—across 18 tables in four states.
Thousands of meaningful connections sparked between people who may not look, think or believe alike, but discovered each other’s humanity.
At our Mile Long Table in July, 73% connected with someone different than themselves, and nearly half committed to building new relationships with neighbors or coworkers. In Littleton, Colorado, 7% of the entire city showed up to eat with people they didn’t know.
We can’t control the uncertainty around us—but we can choose to show up, and to invite others to do the same. And most people, it turns out, are willing to take a seat.
So here’s your invitation for 2026 - receive the invitation and show up and/or invite!
Tomorrow is Colorado Give's Day where you can help us form more leaders like Elli!

Some stellar student leaders (and a few inspired adults!) at Aurora’s Rangeview High School set a table in their cafeteria - to bring together students, teachers, administrators and members of their community to eat together and connect!
It turns out, these student leaders are ready to ditch the screens in favor of real, human connection!
It’s all a part of our new initiative to not only bring the long table into high schools, but to inspire, encourage and form young leaders.
Make a donation tomorrow to see more leaders like Elli!
