We began our rescue after taking in a paralyzed pit bull named Mi Amor or "Mia". She suffered spinal damage at the hands of her abuser at only 6 weeks old. She was such an inspiration we started up BKPUR and Mi Amor Inspired Pet Designs to help save more abused animals and bring awareness to the public. It was a long tough decision for me to let Maxx be adopted. He.and Daisy belonged to my dad that passed away in 2021 after I gave my dad my word ti keep them together. 2.5 yrs later I decided my dad would feel differently if he saw how hard Maxx was taking the last 6 months not being in a home. I have trained and groomed him since he was 14 weeks old and I saw how he was falling apart, I couldn't let it happen. Now, I'm happy to say he was adopted by a very close friend of mine who knows the struggle and loves Maxx deeply. She even works with me at Graced Kennels Augusta Ga so Maxx still sees his sister ,Daisy, and me daily. He is already making starting to enjoy life again.
