Some of the best moments of the year are the ones where we get to stop and recognize the people behind the work.

Our Unum Starting 9 celebration is one of those moments.

This year, we were proud to recognize nine outstanding JMG Specialists whose dedication, encouragement, and belief in students make a lasting difference in communities across Maine.

A sincere thank you to Unum for investing in Maine’s young people and helping us celebrate the professionals who make this work possible. We’re also grateful to the Portland Sea Dogs for hosting an unforgettable evening that brought our team together to recognize these incredible educators.

To our Unum Starting 9 honorees: thank you for the relationships you build, the opportunities you create, and the impact you have on students every single day. We are proud to celebrate you.

We have High School Specialist positions open across Maine, and we are looking for people who want to make a difference in students' lives.

JMG Specialists work directly with young people as they figure out who they are and where they are headed. It is school-based, relationship-driven work, and it changes the trajectory of the students we serve.

If that sounds like you, take a look at our open positions: JMG.org/work-for-jmg

Whether championing young people, supporting families facing cancer, or helping nonprofits expand their reach, Cary leads with generosity, purpose, and a genuine commitment to others.
