A Kidney For Jason
It's been difficult to come to terms with the fact that I am in such a vulnerable position to be posting about this online but I have high hopes that the right people will see this! My kidney disease began when I was born and had to have the left one taken out due to being nonfunctional. This was okay because people can live a normal, full life with just one kidney! Living Kidney Donor A living kidney donor is someone who is willing to voluntarily donate their kidney to someone who needs a new one.
A few things I want you all to know about sharing your spare:
🟢 You do NOT need to be a match to
donate! 🧬 👥
🟢 It cost NOTHING out of pocket
(minus gas ⛽️ for driving) for a potential donor to get tested OR to have surgery and follow up care. 🏩
🟢 Donors are usually out of the hospital within 24-48 hrs after surgery and can return to their NORMAL LIFE within 4-6 weeks! 🤸🏼♀️💼
I have TONS of resources to share with anyone who is interested in becoming a potential donor.
I’ve gone through the process myself *twice* and can tell you the in’s and outs.
Regardless of the outcome, you will have the opportunity to find out important information regarding YOUR OWN HEALTH that you don’t get from annuals at your primary doctor. At NO expense!
You can even explore all the options anonymously if you wish. No one has to know. Not even us!
We’re currently working with these four transplant centers who each have amazing living donor teams that are eagerly waiting to get you started with testing!
✨🗣️Please share this info with any and everyone you know. 🗣️✨
I have a great feeling that someone, somewhere out there has a kidney to share with me. Let’s find them! 🫂🫶🏻😁
