Getting listed on a blocklist can feel overwhelming. The good news is that it is usually fixable.

In this video, deliverability expert Matthew Vernhout explains how to approach listings from Spamhaus and what actually matters when working toward resolution.

A few things to keep in mind:
• Not all blocklists work the same way
• Some listings clear automatically once the issue is fixed
• Others require direct action to resolve
• The most important step is focusing on the lists that actually impact your email performance

If you are dealing with a listing or just want to be prepared, this guide walks you through what to do next:

SPF mistakes are more common than you think… and they can quietly hurt your email deliverability.

In this video, Matt Vernhout walks through some of the biggest issues we see:

• Accidentally authorizing the wrong domains
• SPF records getting too large or outdated
• Using “+all” or “?all” (which basically allows anyone to send on your behalf)
• Setting up SPF when you don’t actually need it

One key takeaway: SPF isn’t something you “set and forget.” If it’s not maintained, it can become a real risk.

And in some cases, you may be better off focusing on DKIM instead.

SPF is one of the most important parts of email authentication and one of the easiest to get wrong.

In this video, Matthew Vernhout walks through what SPF actually does and how it works behind the scenes.

In simple terms, SPF tells mailbox providers which systems are allowed to send email on your behalf. That includes your ESP, CRM, or internal infrastructure.

A few quick takeaways:
• SPF checks the technical “envelope from” domain
• That domain is often different from the visible “from” address
• Your email platform may control where SPF needs to be set
• Subdomains can help keep everything organized

If you are sending email at any scale, this is worth understanding.
