To capture the essence of old Cairo at night, I focused on the interplay of light and shadow, highlighting the glow from traditional lanterns and shopfronts against the aged stone walls. Using a wide aperture, I drew in the warm, ambient light, creating a soft, inviting glow. A slower shutter speed allowed subtle movement to show, giving a sense of life to the scene. With a higher ISO, I balanced clarity with the natural grain of the night, preserving the historic texture and atmosphere that makes old Cairo so enchanting.
