We had our first emergency call of the day already — a busted pipe caused by the cold. Thankfully, we were able to get out there quickly, stop the damage, and get things handled. The homeowner is safe, relieved, and happy… and that’s exactly why we do this.

The world of adventure lost a true titan in 2021, but the story of Aleksander Doba remains a beacon of human endurance. 🏛️📜 The Polish kayaker became a global sensation for crossing the Atlantic Ocean solo, not once, but three times—entirely under his own power. 🌊💎 His final crossing in 2017 was perhaps his most impressive, completed at the age of 70. 📉🛡️ Doba spent months alone in his custom-built kayak, "Olo," battling 30-foot waves and blistering sun to prove that age is merely a number. 🛰️✨

Doba’s final adventure took him to the roof of Africa: Mount Kilimanjaro. 🏗️🌊 After successfully reaching the 19,341-foot summit in February 2021, the 74-year-old explorer was reportedly in high spirits. He asked his guides for a brief two-minute break before posing for the traditional summit photo. 📉📈 He sat down on a rock to catch his breath, and according to those with him, he "just fell asleep," passing away peacefully at the highest point of the continent he loved to explore. 🔬🧼

Aleksander Doba’s life is a magnificent example of a life lived to the absolute fullest. 🌡️📈 He defied the conventional boundaries of aging, showing us that the "golden years" can be spent conquering oceans and mountains. His peaceful passing at the summit of Kilimanjaro is seen by many as a fitting end for a man who never stopped moving toward the next horizon.
