Street Car Braggin Rights started with one simple thought: we believed we could do it better.

After attending and competing at events all over, we took note of what worked and what didn't. We wanted bigger payouts, better communication, a smoother racer experience, and an event that truly put racers first.

When we successfully pulled off SCBR '22, we knew we had something special.

Every year has brought new challenges, and every year we've done our best to listen to racer feedback to improve the following year. As the event continued to grow, we realized our home track could no longer support the vision we had for SCBR. Moving to Rockingham Dragway has been the best decision we've made and has allowed us to continue building SCBR into a true national-level event.

Following our first year at Rockingham, we knew significant changes were needed to improve efficiency and time management. For SCBR '26 we added an extra day, started eliminations earlier, implemented the engine diaper rule, tightened the schedule, and brought on Gavin Carter as Race Director. Gavin's experience has been invaluable not only in helping identify areas for improvement, but also in developing a solid game plan for SCBR '27.

Just days after SCBR '26 concluded, we sat down and evaluated every aspect of the event. While we're proud of what we've built, we know there's room to improve. Becoming one of the biggest annual drag races in the world remains our mission, and we'll continue working every year to make that a reality.

Thanks to Gavin and the feedback from all of you, here are some of the improvements coming for SCBR '27:

• Dedicated track prep crew – Every racer deserves a premier racing surface, no matter what time of day they're on the track.

• Additional recovery equipment – A rollback will remain on-site whenever the track is hot, along with a dedicated ATV for disabled vehicles.

• Down track spotters – Multiple dedicated spotters will monitor the racing surface for fluids and debris, improving both safety and efficiency.

• Multiple tech lanes – More lanes, additional staff, and improved procedures will help streamline the tech process.

• Engine diaper/pan enforcement – Checks will be performed during tech inspection and after every oil down. Any vehicle running 9.99 or quicker that causes an oil down without a required diaper or pan will be disqualified during qualifying or eliminations.

• Additional staff – More personnel will be added throughout the facility, including the staging lanes, fire safety and key track positions.

• Improved driver's meeting – Qualifying results and awards will be
better executed going forward.

• Official protest procedure – A formal protest process will be implemented for all competition.

• Live streaming – We've streamed every SCBR except the first and most recent event, working with Flo, FRDM, and directly to YouTube. It's important to us that if we stream, it's done at a professional level. We fully intend to bring live streaming back for SCBR '27.

We're committed to making SCBR better every single year, and we appreciate everyone who continues to support us, race with us, and hold us to a higher standard of racing.

See you at Street Car Braggin Rights '27!
