It’s hard to put into words how truly kind, selfless and inspiring David Terre was to everyone who knew him. He was a true public servant who always put others first, worked harder than anyone, and led with a grateful heart.
He was a mentor and friend to me for many years and never missed an event or an opportunity to show others that he cared.
Heaven gained an angel last weekend.
Thank you for your friendship, kindness and inspiring all of us to be the best version of ourselves.
I found a few old photos throughout the years. Grateful for the these memories. Rest in peace David Terre, former Councilman, but most of all, my friend. ❤️

Love a little comedic relief when it comes to our crazy weather this time of year.
🌦️ Denton County Weather Update: Now Streaming “Fast & the Forecast: Drift Edition” 🌪️
Good morning, Denton County!
Your weather this weekend is brought to you by commitment issues and a coin flip.
Today: Mostly sunny with a high near 82°… until around 4 PM when there’s a 20% chance the sky says, “Plot twist,” and rolls in a random thunderstorm like it just remembered something important.
Tonight: 10% chance of storms before 7 PM. That’s not even a real chance. That’s the weather equivalent of “I might show up, I might not, don’t wait up.”
Saturday: A slight chance of rain… then a slight chance of storms… basically the atmosphere is hovering over the “send” button and refusing to click it. Winds gusting up to 20 mph, just enough to mess up your hair and your attitude.
Saturday Night: OH, NOW WE’RE DOING THIS.
60% chance of storms after 1 AM. That’s right! Mother Nature waited until you were asleep to start rearranging your patio furniture and testing your roof’s personality.
Sunday: 80% chance of rain and storms. No more games. No more “slight chance.” This is the weather equivalent of your boss saying, “Hey, quick call real fast.” Winds gusting to 25 mph, so if you see your trash can halfway down the street… just know it’s living its best life now.
Sunday Night: 40% chance of storms before 1 AM. The weather is basically saying, “Alright, I’ll leave… but I’m gonna make it awkward first.”
🚨 Denton County Survival Tips:
Wear sunglasses, bring an umbrella, and emotionally prepare for both disappointment and betrayal.
If you grill, it will rain. If you don’t grill, it will be beautiful. Choose wisely.
Secure anything you love outside… including that one lawn chair that’s been through too much already.
Washing your car this weekend is considered a bold and reckless act.
📢 Official Forecast Summary:
We have no idea. The sky has options. Stay alert.
Y’all stay safe out there, and remember in Denton County, the weather doesn’t check the forecast…the forecast checks the weather. 😄
The Colony Police Dept is offering free etching on catalytic converters today and will they will be doing it again in a couple of months. All the slots have been filled for today, but follow their FB page for updates on when the next one will be. They just did my car and explained how this helps prevent your catalytic converter from getting stolen, but if it still gets stolen, helps recover it and trace it back to who stole it. Love that our PD is doing this free event for our community!!
