In the early morning hours of May 29, 2026, crews responded to a vehicle fire at the 32000 block of Kent Black Diamond Rd SE in Auburn. Due to the vehicle's close proximity to both a propane tank and gas station tanks, the incident had the potential to become much more serious.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading to nearby hazards. Fortunately, no injuries were reported to us.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the King County Sheriff's Office - Fire Investigation Unit.

Did you know that 1 in 4 adults age 65+ falls each year? Falls are a leading cause of injury & hospitalization, but many are preventable.
