What if the best advice for your manufacturing operation came from a manufacturer who'd already solved the same problem?

That's the premise behind MassMEP's peer learning sessions, one of the core benefits of membership. Members gather quarterly around focused topics: Shop Floor challenges, Supply Chain optimization, AI adoption, and CEO-level strategy. The conversations are candid because everyone in the room understands what it actually means to run a manufacturing operation in Massachusetts.

Every membership tier includes peer learning session access, along with consulting hours you can direct toward workforce development, supply chain, technology, or continuous improvement. Members also receive featured placement on the MassMEP website and social channels, plus a 10% discount on project work.

Three tiers: Growth, Innovator, and Workforce.

The expertise you need might already be in the room. Membership gets you in.

When enough MA manufacturers respond to the Voice of the Manufacturer Survey, something useful starts to happen. What looks like one company's specific challenge shows up across dozens of responses. What seems like a niche opportunity turns out to be something a whole sector is watching.

That's when the data gets actionable. For MassMEP, it informs which programs get built and where the focus goes. For manufacturers, it's a window into what their peers across the state are actually experiencing.

We're collecting that picture now. Your operation is one piece of it.

Tomorrow at 11 AM, join MassMEP and MIT's Center for Advanced Production Technologies (APT) for the next session in our Additive Manufacturing Webinar Series: Application Engineering, Part Two: Money Talks – Building a Business Case.

In this session, we will move beyond simple technical feasibility to ask the question: is my idea economically viable? This session focuses on building a business case for Additive Manufacturing, learning how to evaluate costs, make “make vs buy” decisions, and communicate with confidence within your organization.

One registration includes the remaining four sessions.

MassMEP and MIT are back tomorrow for Session 3 of the Practical Guide to Additive Manufacturing webinar series.

This session, "Money Talks: Building a Business Case for AM," focuses on the economic side of additive manufacturing: how to evaluate what it actually costs to print, how to think through make vs. buy decisions, and how to build an internal case that gets the right people on board.

Two experts from MIT's Center for Advanced Production Technologies are leading it. Haden Quinlan has co-led MIT's additive manufacturing training since 2018, with clients including Boeing, Ford, and the DoD. Mandana Moshiri led metal additive R&D at LEGO Group from 2019 to 2025 before joining MIT's team earlier this year.

If you've been curious about additive but unsure how to evaluate whether it makes sense for your business, this is a good entry point. Register once and you're in for all four remaining sessions, running through November.

Session 3: June 24 at 11 AM
Session 4: August 20
Session 5: October 21
Session 6: November 19

Today we recognize Juneteenth, commemorating the end of slavery in the United States and celebrating Black freedom, resilience, and culture.

At MassMEP, we believe a stronger manufacturing sector is built on the full participation of everyone in our communities. That work is ongoing, and today is a meaningful reminder of why it matters.
