I highly recommend these two books on Audible, both read by Rob Pincus.

Defend Yourself is probably the most fundamental personal defense book he's written. It’s the book that was available in the Walmart outdoor Section for years and covers most of “the basics”.

Counter Ambush is on the other end of the spectrum, getting deep into some underlying concepts. When it was written over a decade ago, it was published as part of a distance education course with USCCA. It has become a de facto guidebook for instructors that teach what we teach.

The audiobook version was recorded last year and every chapter includes UPDATED additional info after the original content.
