Project PAIEGE (pronounced page) will be my most ambitious build to date. It is a blended investigative platform designed to be modular in construction; allowing sensor suites , anomaly recognition, EVP and other theoretical experiments to coexist on one portable platform. More than a data logger, more than a camera / recorder, and more than a data assistant. My mission is to make a platform that is engaging, thought provoking and can make analysis and determinations of data that may or may not support paranormal activity . I look forward to sharing the project as it progresses through the summer. Some details will be kept close to the vest as I have already put a ton of work into it already. # paranormalinvestigator

I took a break from my super top secret project to check out an online repo that turns your own wifi router into a presence detection network. The repo can run on a Raspberry Pi as a server, a few micro controllers as detectors, all reading your router's signal. A web page interface allows you to visualize activity down to heartbeat, movement, and breathing. It can be trained an whatever space you analyze and great graphical interfaces can be viewed via a web interface. Does it have a use for the paranormal? We shall see when I test it at my favorite haunted hotel. Stay tuned!

I have 20 motion sensing cameras that work great. But the software is getting dated and the camera stacks are not supported. Meaning I'd have to install an outdated OS to support them if the image got corrupted, which is a pain. I developed a new camera application to work with the Raspberry PI 4b, core boards saving me alot of money in upgrades. Not only does it sense visual motion. It can be triggered with as many sensors I can think of. Coming soon, cleaner sensor boxes and enhanced sensors. , , ,

As a kid, I was a huge fan of the space program. That love of science has held as an adult. In particular, the mars rover and voyager projects. This is part 1 of my paranormal rover experiment. While it is a little crude in design, the goal is to create a platform capable of autonomous movement in an open space, like the battlefields of Gettysburg, investigate alone, guided by lidar and gps to gather sensor readings, video, audio and return home. Phase 1 already has remote driving, a 3 camera suite with thermal and IR for night driving. An onboard cellular modem transmits the video and data to a internet connected computer. I can drive it from miles away with a game pad and control the sessions remotely. Free from human influence. Phase 2 will incorporate Lidar GPS and self driving although I confess it's halfway done already lol. There is alot of coding at work here and the system is way more advanced that its version 1 design looks. Future versions of the rover will have a beefier drive system, enclosed electronics and will be larger. Please drop me a line if you have any questions. Would love to hear suggestions on a name that is a paranormal themed.

Hello all. While career changes and life haven't led to regular posting, I haven't stopped working on new tech. I have been using wave radar with a vector graphic that shows motion as well giving me the range to filter the distances and sweep angle. The new and improved version does so much more. I also incorporated LIDAR as a second source of truth. When motion is detected it also records video clips in either IR or standard video, and a thermal stream as well. These layers of validation make the tool reliable for investigating the paranormal. I also integrated a touch screen and a custom 3d printed case that makes it lighter and easier to use, move, and transport. I have used the tool at some hosted events and have gotten interesting results. imvestigator

The paranormal community is always looking for new tools to investigate with. Challenge accepted. This summer, while I took time to reflect on career and life, my hands and mind were still tinkering. Many people have opinions on what equipment is effective or not effective for paranormal investigations. While noone can tell you what a ghost is, I'm evaluating tools that can norrow down what a ghost isn't. The tools I developed in this video are based on presence detection modules, dialed in to detect humam biometrics. Their inputs can be vectorized and graphical references on position can be determined. Also false postives can be easily filtered by changing range, distance, and angle of sweep. Plus, if this tool yields results during testing, the radar graphic is cool and looks like the tracker in the movie aliens :) enjoy !

Just in time for tech Tuesday. Paranormal equipment costs can add up. Even my video camera servers cost me 100 bucks each to make myself. I wanted a low cost lightweight camera capture device that is small, lightweight, rechargeable, and I can put in places where I wouldn't care if something happened to it. I used an ESP 32 camera board, modified the camera to see in the dark with IR illumination, and coded it to take pictures every 5 seconds. Cost to make, 25 bucks. This is an example of what can be done with low cost components. There are plenty of tutorials on line to integrate these amazing boards into paranormal projects.
