As members of the African American community, we wanted to create a space for our own to be able to read, discuss and share ideas about the books we read. The books are not limited to African American authors, but we wanted to create a space in which fellow African Americans can bond over good reads. We plan to vote on the book of the month so that everyone has input on what they'd like to read. We look forward to the creating memories through reading and fellowship.

Conyers Book Festival () is officially stamped as one of my all-time favorite bookish memories.

Over the course of the day, I had the absolute honor of speaking with and getting to know Ms. Beverly Jenkins, moderating a panel with some of my favorite authors and sharing space on an influencer panel with people I genuinely adore.

It was one of those days that reminds you exactly why you love this community.

A huge thank you to Tamara of for creating and curating such an incredible event. Watching the growth of the festival and seeing the community show up the way it did was truly something special.

What a time.

Probably didn’t need another tote bag but how could i resist this one? My mom saw it in T.J. Maxx and scooped it up for me recently! Isn’t it the cutest?

We’ll be meeting on Zoom at 7PM EST and I’m so excited for this conversation. This book kept me so engrossed and I already know the discussion is going to be a good one.

Check our stories for all the details. We’ll see you there! 📚💬

I didn’t think I could love a book as much as I loved Yellow Wife by Sadeqa Johnson…but Keeper of Lost Children just proved me wrong.

This one right here? A winner. 🙌🏾

There’s something about stories that follow separate lives…different paths, different struggles…only to reveal how deeply connected they all are in the end. It gets me every single time and this book delivered that in the best way.

Now I’m sitting here like…yeah, I absolutely need to go back and read The House of Eve ASAP because clearly, Sadeqa Johnson doesn’t miss.

Have you read this one yet? 👀📚
