From Amanda:

I have been barbering since I graduated from high school. Things have changed a lot over the industry in the last 13 years, and the evolution is what I love about my career. I love that within the Barbering industry, there’s always room for growth and creativity. I went back to get my master barbers license, After already being in the industry for 10 years. Learning from new people about new things and expanding my knowledge has always driven me. It’s something that makes the Commodore my dream job. Working amongst people that love what they do, and do their very best at every turn. We are a part of something. Part of what makes our industry unique. Aside from what I do for a “job”, I love bodybuilding, and being active. Most of all I love my 5 year old son.
I love to bring positivity and a smile to the people that I meet. I truly believe that we should all live ‘on purpose’.
I’m so grateful to love what I do and do it in a place that I truly admire. Thank you for having me. -Amanda

The barbershop has always been a safe space for dialogue. It is the only place in the world where, in 45 minutes, you can solve humanity’s most pressing problems, get exposed to a new artist, discuss the weekend weather, roast the guy next to you and still sit in silence for 30 minutes 😂…

You gotta have thick skin because there is always a bunch of savages in there waiting for an opportune moment to expose your biggest insecurities. So you act hard the whole time you’re in the chair and never share your vulnerabilities because you know they’ll be exploited. Eventually they are…lol. you know its all love though so you roll with the punches and always have a comeback on deck. Sometimes, the one dude that always stays quiet and neutral comes out of left field and roasts somebody with like three words and it always cuts the deepest 😂

One time told me I had the body type of an empty ravioli shell 😅

Danny, a fellow graduate of Gwinnett Barber Institute along with , joined the Chamblee team around the new year. Danny first heard about The Commodore through while in barber school and set up some training sessions with us at that time. However, being from the North Georgia area, it made more sense to join as he opened up in Clarkesville. As Danny and his fiancée were in the process of buying their first home closer to the Atlanta area, we reconnected and picked up the conversation about him joining the team, and we couldn’t be more excited. We cant think of a better fit to round out the OG shop. If you’ve ever had an interaction with Danny, you know he is always cool, calm, and collected. He is teachable, and yet highly competent. His creative approach and personalization with hair is unique, and perfectly compliments the team in Chamblee. We’re thankful you’re apart of the family Danny!

From Danny:

“I was born and raised
in Gainesville, Georgia. I used to be a skate rat/ ju**ie. I would eat, sleep skateboarding. I went to military school in Savannah and that’s where I actually picked up a pair of clippers for the first time and graduated high school 2010. After I graduated military school I started cutting hair at home and in the garage and slowly fell more and more in love with barbering. I’m a huge Atlanta Sports fan I love going to the games (Predominantly NFL) - the Falcons are my team! My favorite haircut to do is probably a skin taper and I also love free styling designs.”

Danny gets married this May to his highschool sweetheart ! Big things coming!
