Black History Month celebrates 100 years since its founding in 1926, when historian Dr. Carter G. Woodson created Negro History Week to recognize the achievements and contributions of Black Americans. It later expanded into Black History Month in 1976, honoring Black history, culture, and excellence every February. ❤️💚🖤
