Erica was involved in a severe car crash that damaged her right leg, and following the accident, she endured several difficult surgeries. Erica then noticed that she was feeling some discomfort in her left leg, and it was discovered that two of her ligaments were damaged. With the help of donor tissue, she was able to have the damage repaired. After surgery, she took time to acknowledge the opportunity she had gained because of another person’s selfless gift. She wanted her donor family to know that their loved one had positively impacted her life in a very significant way. “I do my best to spread the word. I want everyone to know how many people are touched by donation and how many can benefit from it.
