Movement Arts Atlanta

We had a fantastic week dancing around the world learning Merengue, Bachata, West African, Native American Intertribal, and English Country Dancing! As with each MAA camp, dancers participate in the care of the environment; making flower arrangements for the lunch table, sweeping both the dance floor and under the lunch table. They also have the choice of complimentary activities during breaks with a dance book library, puzzles and games.

We had a wonderful day on May 16th celebrating the accomplishments of our students at the Annual Student Recital, Much to the Ballerina’s Surprise and Coral Movement Suite. This year had some firsts; an original story ballet, our adult students join the cast of that ballet and a longer and more artistically and technically challenging modern piece. In addition to the general acknowledgment of our students work, four students were recognized for meeting their three year training mark and one her five years of study!

During Dance Me a Story Dance Camp this week, our young camper work on learning their rights and lefts with the help of stamps. Stamp Foot and Plain Foot stand in for Right Foot and Left Foot.
