Valerie has been a dedicated CASA volunteer whose service has made a lasting impact on the lives of the children she serves. Throughout her journey as an advocate, she has provided consistency, guidance, and a compassionate presence at every stage of their case.

Valerie has witnessed two children from a prior case achieve permanency through adoption and continues to faithfully support another child who is still awaiting their forever home. Her commitment, patience, and unwavering advocacy exemplify the powerful difference a CASA volunteer can make in a child’s life. Valerie’s dedication is a true reflection of the mission of Atlanta CASA and the vital role volunteers play in helping children find safety, stability, and permanency.

Thanks to Oleathea (L) from Wellroot Family Services for a positive and productive breakfast collaboration! We're actively working on ways for families to become more involved with fostering as well as seeking out resources on how to support our youth aging out of care.

As we recognize National Foster Care Month in May, we celebrate a valued member of the Atlanta CASA Board of Directors. Antwan Lang brings both professional leadership and deeply personal insight to our mission. Having been adopted through foster care at four years old, Mr. Lang understands firsthand the profound impact that advocacy, stability, and compassionate adults can have in the life of a child navigating uncertainty. His journey is a powerful testament to how guidance, support, and opportunity can change the trajectory of a young person’s life.

This personal connection fuels Mr. Lang’s commitment to Atlanta CASA’s mission of advocating for children who have experienced abuse and neglect. He believes every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and heard, regardless of their circumstances. Through his service on our board, he helps champion the importance of ensuring that every child in foster care has someone standing in the gap and advocating for their best interests.

We are honored to have Mr. Lang serve alongside Atlanta CASA as we work to create pathways of hope, healing, and opportunity for children and families across our community.
