“Wings of Contamination,” I explore the profound impact of environmental degradation on the natural world through the lens of an osprey grappling with a hazardous and polluted habitat. This piece captures the struggle of a once-majestic bird now burdened by the weight of industrial contamination.

The artwork depicts the osprey amidst a polluted landscape, its feathers tainted by heavy metals and pollutants. The once-clear waters, now tainted with debris and chemical waste, reflect the direct consequences of human activity on aquatic life. The fish, essential to the osprey’s survival, are shown in a state of distress, their forms distorted by contamination.

Through stark contrasts of color and texture, “Wings of Contamination” highlights the duality of hope and despair. The dark, foreboding sky juxtaposed with the vibrant osprey illustrates both the resilience and vulnerability of nature.
