🛒 Instacart Shopper Tip: Check Those Expiration Dates! 🛒

Hello, fellow Instacart shoppers and grocery delivery drivers across all platforms!

Always take a few extra seconds to check expiration dates on every item, whether it’s refrigerated, frozen, or shelf-stable. We never want customers to be disappointed when they receive products that are close to expiring.

Here’s a perfect example: I picked up an Applegate Black Forest Ham package that said “Freeze By May 24, 2026.” While technically still acceptable, I thought about the customer. They may not plan to eat it immediately or freeze it right away.

So, I checked the shelf and found the exact same product with a much later date: July 14, 2026. That’s a much better choice and gives the customer more time to enjoy their purchase.

A quick expiration-date check can make a big difference in customer satisfaction, ratings, and trust. Before heading to checkout, take one last look through your cart and make sure you’re choosing the freshest products available.

Man, the last few days have been a whirlwind. I’ve been juggling so many things and pushing hard to get everything completed before today. The stress level was definitely running high! 😅

One of the best free tools for Costco orders isn’t in the store aisle. It’s the empty boxes!

At the end of the day, or whenever you’re shopping at Costco, grab 2-3 sturdy empty boxes and keep them in your vehicle. The next morning, when Costco opens, you’ll already have boxes ready to go for your first batch.

If you’re doing 2-3 customer orders in one batch, assign one box to each customer. This helps keep groceries separated, prevents items from rolling around in your trunk, and saves you from having to sort everything again before delivery.

After completing your Costco deliveries, grab a few more empty boxes and leave them in your vehicle for the next Costco batch. It’s a simple habit that keeps your orders organized and your deliveries running smoothly.
