Design is more than visuals. It’s about creating an experience before the event even begins.

I recently worked on a pool party campaign for a lounge event, and the goal was clear: capture energy, exclusivity, and that irresistible “I need to be there” feeling all in one design. From the color choices to the layout and typography, every element was intentionally crafted to reflect a vibrant, high-energy atmosphere while still keeping the brand identity consistent. In events like this, the design isn’t just decoration; it’s marketing. It’s what stops the scroll, builds anticipation, and drives attendance.

THINGS NOBODY TELLS YOU ABOUT BEING A GRAPHIC DESIGNER

- You will design 10 versions and clients will pick just one

- People think you “just add text” for a living.

- Your favorite designs rarely get approved.

- You sketch on your notebook but never use them in the real design.

- Inspiration disappears the moment you need it the most.

- You’ll learn to send invoices with confidence even when you are nervous.

- Your laptop becomes your best friend and worst enemy.

- You will do free work in the beginning and there is nothing wrong with that. Just don’t stay there for long.

- Clients will send low quality images and expect HD magic.

- Designing is the easy work. Explaining your design is the real work.

- After designing, you will keep every PSD, PDF and PNG files just incase.

- You will became a part-time therapist when clients are confused.
