“Good things come to he who waits.” I got here in 1985, and things were quite different from the current landscape. I like to say that we transitioned from five dollar hookers to five dollar lattes. I watched Freedom Parkway being built to handle all things with four wheels and most recently the Beltline for bikes, trikes, skateboards, strollers and pedestrians of all stripes. Real life has come back to intown Atlanta! I can be in Piedmont Park in under five minutes on my bike, have a cheesesteak from Woody’s, and finish it off with a visit to my next door neighbor, King of Pops. Life is good!
