This Sunday morning I’m just grateful. God never gives up on me. Even on the days when I feel like I don’t deserve it, He still shows me grace and keeps blessing my life.

Sometimes I stand in this kitchen at Red Rice and just think about how far He’s brought me. God keeps blessing my hands to cook and feed people every single day. What started as love for food and family has turned into something bigger than me. A place where people come to eat, laugh, and feel at home.

I don’t take it lightly that God trusted me with this. To run a soul food restaurant. To build it with my man and our kids by my side. To serve our community with food made from the heart.

Every pan, every plate, every meal… it’s bigger than just cooking. It’s purpose. It’s love. And it’s God working through my hands.

So this Sunday morning I just want to say thank you, Lord. Thank you for never giving up on me. Thank you for trusting me. And thank you for continuing to bless Red Rice so we can keep feeding people food cooked with love — because food cooked with love really does feed the soul. 🙏🏾✨
