Our fundraiser for the seminary program at Whitworth Women's Prison ends this week!

Over the last three weeks, we've competed with 435 charities to raise the most money as part of the "A Community Thrives" Fundraising Challenge sponsored by the USA Today. We're currently in third place with $41,000 from 430+ donors. If we can raise another $10,000 by Friday, August 13th at noon, HeartBound will win an extra $29,000.

That means we can fully pay for six associates degrees for incarcerated women.

Here's how you can help:

1. Go to www.mightycause.com/heartbound
2. Click donate
3. Encourage friends, family, neighbors, coworkers to support HeartBound Ministries.

This week's bonus challenge is simple.

It lasts Monday, August 9th at 12:00:00 p.m. ET through Friday, August 13th at 12:00:00 p.m. ET

The 4 charities with the most eligible donations (dollars raised) during the time period will receive $4,000.

We can also win $25,000 by being the top fundraiser. The top 3 fundraisers with the most dollars raised at the end of the A Community Thrives challenge will receive incentive grants of $25,000, $15,000, and $10,000, respectively.

That adds up to more than $29,000 to support our seminary program.

Thank you for your gifts, your prayers, and your support. We cannot thank you enough!

Here's a glimpse from a letter we received yesterday from an inmate, Eric, who earned his Doctor of Biblical Studies while incarcerated:
Thankfully, prison is not a place excluded from God's realm of work and He sometimes uses it in His plans. He allowed Joseph to pass through one on his way to a palace. John the Baptist saw one for a short season. Paul and Silas experienced the power of God in a prison and Jesus Christ preached to the spirits in prison. It was also in prison that God turned me from a dummy into a doctor. When it comes to your prayers, support, and ministry to those in prison, I want to remind you that what you do for them, you do for Him (Mt. 25:34-40). His children are not only in the church you attend each Sunday; some of them are in the prison you might pass on the way there." AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!!!!
