How To Stop Attracting Nightmare Clients

When I first started out as a designer I remember dealing with a few clients who otherwise would have been great to work with had I not made these mistakes in going to share with you.

These tips apply to all service providers! And the key to making all of this work is mindset and having a modicum of respect for yourself and the work you do in the world.

1. Have a set framework or process for how you work in your businesses to get clients results.

2. Educate your clients on how this process works.

3. Have set boundaries and clear communication of what is and isn't acceptable in the way you like to work.

4. Be clear about your scope - ex. if you offer social media marketing in your main package let a client know whether or not that includes design, photography, or content creation services as well.

5. Be firm on your pricing and own your value

6. Treat yourself like you are a business. Like you are the Virgin airlines. Because you are!

7. Have contracts and proposals ready to send and sign outlining what the client will be receiving. I like to use or to send proposals, contracts, and invoices all in one step.

8. Have a set onboarding and onboarding process. This shows that you are a professional and know how to get your clients results as well as take their business seriously.

So which of these are you missing in your business? Let me know in the comments below ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ ๐Ÿ™‚

"To grow your business, you must attract people to your business or website. Rachael Alexander was able to understand my business and my ideal client and develop an amazing marketing presence and website. The creative website is not only attractive and appealing with easy navigation, but provides value to potential clients through informative and desirable downloads. The marketing campaign designed to capture emails enables me to proactively solicit potential clients and grow my business. Rachael is an invaluable asset to any business." ~ Mary Taylor Carr, Business & Life Coach

I work strategically and I'm proud of the work I do, so when I see reviews from a satisfied customer, it tugs at my heartstrings. Thanks for the love!
