Just some holiday advice from your friends at ProAudio Georgia:

If Santa (or anyone else) is bringing a video game console or computer this year, he should take it out of the box now and set it up. Specifically, he should do the following:
1) Connect it to your home's wifi. (Santa knows your password. It's part of his magic.)
2) Download all system updates. This may take several hours, so he should do it at night.
3) Set parental controls if the recipient is a kid.
4) Download at least one game, or put in a game disc so that it can download the content and any updates. This should also be done at night.
5) Charge the controllers or have batteries on hand. He should also do this for headsets and other accessories. (And he should remember that some high-end headsets may have software updates of their own to complete.)
6) Plug EVERYTHING into a surge protector. Santa does not want to ruin his vacation by trying to return a brand-new console that got fried by a power outage. Especially if it's a console that is already hard to find.

After Santa finishes this, he can pop it all back into the boxes for wrapping. Or he can connect it to the TV on Christmas Eve and have it ready to switch on that morning. (But he probably shouldn't wait until Christmas Eve to do the updates. He knows the servers can crash due to heavy demand and ruin that plan.) May all your video games be merry & bright!
