In celebration of Researcher Appreciation Day, Emory School of Medicine is honoring a selection of standout faculty who were nominated by their peers and colleagues for groundbreaking research, development of new technologies, and continued pursuit of novel and innovative ideas.

Dr. Andrew J. Feola, head of the Feola Research Group at the Department of Ophthalmology, has received well-deserved recognition.

Dr. Feola focuses on the increased risk of glaucoma in women with early menopause. His commitment to women’s health has been recognized by invitations to key groups, including the VA Women’s Health Research Network and Engineering Research Visioning Alliance on Transforming Women’s Health through Engineering.

Congratulations to the Optometry Division of the Emory Eye Center and Department of Ophthalmology! The Emory Optometry Residency program is now accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE).
